This past April Raul Castro presided over the 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba. Originally these planning events were scheduled to be held every five years, but the Castros either lost count or lost interest in engaging the Cuban people and a while ago fell several five year periods behind. Brian is a globally known and respected corporate real estate strategist and advisor. He is currently Principal Partner of a corporate real estate and economic development consulting practice in Toronto. In 2008, he co-founded a web-based commercial real estate community (CREOPoint).
Prior he was Managing Director Canada for NAI Global, a major corporate real estate services provider. While at NAI Global he led the practice's expansion to 11 offices across Canada with over two hundred people. He was a founder of the company's Call Centre practice as well as its Location Advisory Services.He managed projects in 9 countries and represented Bombardier Transportation in many successful international assignments.
He is a very strong project planner and manager, has excellent financial and operational analysis skills, organizational design and development abilities, comprehensive strategic and tactical marketing plans experience, and excellent presentation skills.
Mr. French founded the first international chapter of Corenet Global (then IDRC) and co-managed their 1995 summit in Toronto. Prior to joining NAI Global, he was an advisor to governments on economic development and initiated and executed highly successful marketing programs on their behalf.
Relevant experience includes: Comprehensive Marketing Strategy for a large Canadian province, Creation and oordination of a regional economic development partnership, inbound and outbound economic development missions, Consultant to Ontario Investment Service, economic development strategies for Sackville, NB, for Johnstown, PA and Boone, NC; a site selection search and analysis of over 300 MSAs for location of a new manufacturing facility for a Canadian client; site selection studies covering every region in the Canada for three US-based Contact Center operators; US-wide site search proposal for 5,000 person customer service operation for US bank; Canada-wide search for headquarters operation of a major Insurance Company; regional search for relocation of headquarters of transportation equipment manufacturer. He development the Cluster Development strategy for Metro Toronto and built a creative industry cluster to pursue international business.
Brian is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick.
