Hi Paul hope you had a chance to relax a bit after this crazy week. I did not anticipate such changes in the banking and real estate when I founded CREOPoint.com five months ago with former executives from Citibank, Morgan Stanley and E&Y. Many of our friends on CREOPoint.com are concerned about what this mess could mean to them and to their clients. Others feel like that can only rely on themselves and need to network more. Our response has been to create a “global financial crisis group” on CREOPoint. I know you are involved with European investors and I personally look forward to your views on http://creopoint.com/group/globalfinancialcrisis. It would also be good if we could schedule some time to catch up before you go to Expo, I won't have time to go. Please let me know a couple times EST that would work best for you later this week, Best, JC
Paul hi hope this finds you well. I'm glad you connected with Steve Felix, who is a great guy.
We are making good progress at CREOPoint and are about to launch commercially. Would you be interested in looking at our business plan? (either for a Seabright sponsorship or for a personal investment by you or someone you know?).
Paul hi and thanks for your message. I’m not sure I’ll go to Expo, right now I have a conflict.
Anyway, poke around CREOPoint and you’ll start finding Europeans you can connect with. I was there last month to plan the launch of CREOPoint in Europe and we should have a lot more professionals from there in the next couple months. You may also want to have a more detailed profile that will improve your rankings in search engines when prospects from around the world search for experts in markets across the U.S. (distribution centers, data centers, hotels, shopping centers, office). It’s is important that you fill out your “Have’s and Want’s” or people won’t really know what you can offer. Members have also told us in our user research that they feel more comfortable connecting with people when they see their picture (which you can also easily add to your profile and then I could feature you as a member).
Meanwhile please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or your ideas about people I should be talking to (angel investors, corporate sponsors, subject matter experts). My new email jcgoldenstein@creopoint.com or via phone 914 310 4189).
Dear Paul, hope you had a nice weekend. I was delighted to hear about your move to Seabright Partners and to see that you joined the CREOPoint community. As its founder, my goal is to ensure that you and our members know where and how to find the information needed from the site, maximize connections and network quickly and efficiently with peers around the globe about key issues.
I will therefore be the one personally updating you of new developments and with your permission, asking for your insights on how the site can be made most useful for you. I noticed your interesting profile on the Seabright site and on CREOPoint confirming your new focus on finding foreign investors searching for U.S. real estate investments.
Your detailed profile will improve your rankings in search engines when prospects from around the world search for experts in markets across the U.S. (distribution centers, data centers, hotels, shopping centers, office). In addition, you may want to add articles that you have written or start a blog (to add your first entry, go to your profile and click the "Add Blog Post" link). You also might invite a few colleagues from your new firm, Hilco, CoreNet or Indiana University to sign up if they are in commercial real estate. By actively adding good content to groups (e.g., the one on distressed buildings), community members stand out, and we're very pleased that you're taking advantage of this early leadership opportunity.
If you would be open to sharing your insights and opinions about the site via a 10 minute interview, please let me know. Meanwhile please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or ways that we can enhance CREOPoint services to members, in whatever way you prefer! (Either directly through the site, my new email jcgoldenstein@creopoint.com or via phone 914 310 4189).
Many thanks and best regards,
Jean-Claude
PS: Regarding your question about jumpstarting my new venture, please let me know if you can think of people I should be talking to (chartered members, angel investors) and I’d be happy to send you a two page executive summary.
