Peter Quinn has been involved in commercial real estate investment and development for over 25 years, focusing his attention in the southern California markets. Peter is currently raising capital and providing consulting services to a variety of operating real estate entities that control sizable portfolios throughout the western states.
Currently Mr. Quinn is the founding principal at Del Mar Land Fund, a real estate investment fund seeking to acquire entitled residential land in western US markets. Peter is also a principal at Red Door, a real estate consulting firm providing services to lenders, investors and developers of commercial and residential projects throughout the southwest.
Prior to founding Red Door, Peter founded Innovative Commercial Development with long time homebuilder Innovative Communities Founder and Chairman, Tom Dobron. The company focused on development and acquisition of industrial, office and retail properties throughout the southwestern US markets. Lack of construction financing led Quinn to initiate research into availability of vacant developed residential lots in the southwest, leading to relationships with large private equity funds and offers on nearly 30,000 lots.
Previously, Peter built from ground up the San Diego region for Newport Beach based Voit Development Company. He was responsible for new commercial development and acquisition of investment quality real estate in San Diego County. Since joining Voit in November of 2003, Peter acquired or developed over $130,000,000 in commercial assets. Each project involved entitlement, development and/or repositioning. As a result of these efforts, Voit Development Company emerged in 2006 as one of the three (3) most active commercial real estate investor/developers in the region.
Prior to joining Voit, Peter founded a real estate corporate services company in 1989 serving public companies requiring entitlement and repositioning for their California based real estate assets. Clients included Eastman Kodak, Eli Lily, and Texaco. Those efforts led to his co-founding of Parkstone Companies, a real estate development and asset management company with offices in San Diego and Westlake Village, CA. His work with corporate clients and regional banks during the RTC liquidation created values or over $250,000,000.
In 1985, Quinn joined a former Trammell Crow regional partner at Newport Beach based McLachlan Investment Company as a partner and project manager in developing office and industrial product in San Diego County, creating over $100,000,000 in value. Peter began his real estate career in 1980 with Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Newport Beach office after three successful years with IBM.
Quinn holds a California Real Estate sales license, is on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, active in fundraising for the San Diego region. He is also a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and is active in numerous other charitable organizations in the San Diego region.
Quinn earned his Bachelors of Science in Finance at San Diego State University. Peter lives in Del Mar with his wife Jean and together they have three children.
