Further to your exchange with JC yesterday, I wished to outline the public and private points of connection with others on CREOPoint.
He summarized to you how events can be public, private or by invitation only. Some other privacy / public features are:
You can exchange "wall notes" or messages with members.
Any member can write on any other members "wall" simply by clicking on "Members" searching, finding their profile and scrolling down to the appropriate place. This note is public and can be seen by anyone.
You can also exchange private messages with specific members who are "friends". To do this find the member, click on "add as friend" and after he/she confirms, then you can send a confidential message.
You can start a public or private (with members by invite only) group
You can also decide whether to make any piece of content (a "viewpoint", a video, a picture, etc) public, for your eyes only, or for your friends only.
Discussions are always public.
Hope this helps explain the issue of private content. At CREOPoint. It is a priority for us to welcome further questions you may have. If and when appropriate i would also be happy to schedule a webex with people as you see fit to answer additional questions about the site, posting content, etc
Meanwhile do not hesitate to contact me through CREOPoint or at 416 803 5301.
Best regards,
Brian
