Hi Shekhar!

Yes, City Center as well as our new project, The M Resort are still opening on schedule. Obviously the residential market suffered the worst of the blow but we are seeing some delays and lack of financing in the Commercial side as well. I suppose time will tell. How is the market where you are?

A multimillionaire Manhattan real estate mogul is set to appear in a Westchester courtroom Monday to face drug charges after he was busted with a cache of pills and cocaine.

The 2008 Smart List: 15 People the Next President (too late for the current one) Should Listen To

Dear President _________,
Congratulations! Now brace yourself for an avalanche of advice — from the 21 people in your Cabinet, from dozens of advisory councils, hundreds of members of Congress, thousands of lobbyists and pundits, and millions of voters. Everyone's got an opinion on what needs to be done. But the policies that emerge from such groupthink tend to be weird mashups of conflicting interests or warmed-over slabs of conventional wisdom. Enough of that. The country needs fresh direction… Continue

The $700 Billion Dollar Question

In the 80's it used be the "the $64,000 question" - wow, I thought the days of hyper inflation were gone.
Regardless, there seems to be an urgency, at least in the U.S, to get Treasury Sec. Paulson's $700 billion (YES YOUR READ THAT RIGHT, $700 WITH TWELVE ZEROS) bailout package of Wall Street passed through Congress without any of the usual lengthy congressional hearings or other such regulatory hurdles. I agree with most everyone in the real estate and finance industries, that something needs… Continue

Hospitality goes green

According to a recent article from Smith Travel Research, hoteliers are making inroads in their attempt to go green.
It was only a matter of time before owners, developers, and the brands themselves saw the importance of building more eco friendly hotels. Hotel developers recognized that the preferences of travellers and corporations were changing to create demand for sustainable hotels. Hotels have been at the forefront of many creative ways of helping the environment - linen laundry programs,… Continue
