Prices Down While Gross Rents Up & Other New Paradigms

There's an interesting paradox going on in office markets in the USA (International perspective welcomed...)

While Moody's have determined that prices in office building sales have declined, gross rents to tenants are increasing just as vacancy is increasing.

Normally, of course, higher income would mean higher prices for sales and (normally) more vacancy would mean lower rental rates.
