He specialises in all commercial real estate matters, with a particular focus on investment, finance, construction, real estate development and commercial leases. He has experience in all types of real estate work including due diligence, sale and purchase process, securitisation, drafting and negotiating contracts and leases and property disputes.

Edouard acts for international and French clients including real estate funds, banks, real estate companies, landlords, occupiers and insurance companies.

Background
Edouard joined Simmons & Simmons in 2005, from Reed Smith Richards Butler Paris, where he headed their real estate group after spending 10 years with major French international business law firms.

Edouard holds a DEA in civil law and a DESS in real estate and construction (post-masters degrees - University of Paris-Assas). He is also one of the few French avocats, who is also qualified as a chartered surveyor (MRICS). and is Chairman of the Dispute Resolution Faculty of the RICS France. Edouard regularly lectures on real estate aspects at continuing education organisations, in-house seminars, CCFGB and RICS conferences. In 2009, Edouard was elected as President of AJEDIM (Association des Juristes et Etudiants en Droit Immobilier de Paris II Assas - Real Estate Lawyers Alumni Association).

Since 2005, Edouard is listed in the real estate section of European Legal 500. Edouard is one of the 23 French leading real-estate lawyers selected by Legal Media Group in the World's Leading Real Estate Lawyers guide. Edouard is also highly recommended in real estate by PLC Which Lawyer? yearly book and Who's Who Legal. Since 2005, Edouard has been ranking by the French legal magazine Decideurs Stratégie Finance et Droit as a "strong notoriety " (band 3 of 5) concerning real estate investment and financing.
