6/99 – 9/01 TAMPA PORT AUTHORITY Tampa, Florida
Manager of Real Estate for the county port authority. Duties included lease and administration for 115 land, office and submerged land leases. Total property managed exceeded 1500 acres. The position required direct face to face contact with executives of port users. Other duties include leasing vacant land and acquisition of new properties. Team leader for master plan development of Port Redwing, a 150-acre deep water port currently under construction. Leasing activity has generated over $7,900,000 of new revenue to the TPA.
8/94 - 6/99 PASCO COUNTY COMMITTEE OF 100, INC. Land O’ Lakes, Florida
Business Development Manager for the county’s public/private economic development agency. Duties included extensive cold calling and interaction with corporate executives and business decision makers. This high profile position called for constant follow-up while continuing to generate relationships with new contacts. My efforts have resulted in the construction of over 516,000 square feet of manufacturing / warehouse space; new leases exceeding 170,000 square feet; sales of 77,000 square feet of existing structures and the closing of 280 acres slated for development exceeding 230,000 square feet. This position requires a thorough knowledge of County Land use, Code and Comprehensive Plan, as well as all local and state incentive programs.
