This system was launched following 9/11, when the Real Estate ISAC was formed as a public-private partnership between the U.S. real estate industry and federal homeland security officials. Be sure your colleagues are on this list as well, so pass this on!!
Among other things, the Real Estate ISAC disseminates information from the federal government to building owners and operators through Alerts and Bulletins. High-urgency Alerts are emailed by the Real Estate ISAC directly to building owners and operators as requested by the government. (There have been no Alerts in the past 24 months.)
A terrorist attack, earthquake, flood, power outage or other disaster can strike at any time … with little or no warning. Are you ready?
Every real estate business — and building — needs an emergency preparedness and recovery plan. A plan can save lives, assets and help minimize downtime after a crisis. You can’t control what happens, but you can be prepared.
Visit http://www.reisac.org/prepare to learn more about the steps you can take to develop emergency response plans for your company and your buildings. When it comes to building security, the Real Estate ISAC believes we’re all in this together.
Develop an emergency response plan. Test it. Maintain it.
Merry Christmas to ALL!
